This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students often come to school early and stay late for their various extracurricular activities. From after school tutoring, volleyball & basketball practice, robotics, and even our recycling club. We eat lunch early in the day and I would like to provide a snack cupboard for kids to make sure they are not hungry. Having snacks available has many benefits such as:

1.

**Enhanced Learning and Concentration**: Nutritious snacks help students stay focused and engaged during lessons, improving overall academic performance.

2. **Reduced Hunger**: For some students, school snacks may be their only reliable source of nutrition during the day, preventing hunger-related distractions and discomfort.

3. **Promoting Healthy Eating Habits**: Providing healthy snacks encourages children to make better food choices, fostering long-term healthy eating habits.

4. **Equity and Inclusion**: Ensuring all students have access to snacks can reduce disparities among students from different socioeconomic backgrounds, promoting a more inclusive school environment.

5. **Increased Attendance and Participation**: Well-nourished students are more likely to attend school regularly and participate actively in class and extracurricular activities.
