Help me give my students snacks to help prevent them from getting "hangry" and stay focused academically.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a middle school Social Worker in the South Bronx seeking funding for snacks for my students.
Students come into my office at all times of the day complaining of hunger.
The reasons vary from leaving the house without breakfast so they can arrive to school on time, not being satisfied with the school lunch options, or simply because they are losing focus academically.
When students come into my office seeking food, it gives me an opportunity to check in with them emotionally as well. Sometimes they are merely "hangry" and after they have a small snack they are able to regulate their emotions with very little guidance.
As Maslow puts it in his hierarchy of needs, food is at the base. When a food need is not met, nothing else can function. Having snacks for students will provide this basic human need.
