This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a fairly new teacher and will be starting my third year of teaching English, as well as my first year of advising our middle school student council. I am trying to collect all the things I may need for a well-run, safe, and inviting classroom. All requested donation materials will go towards assisting me in helping my students achieve success in our classroom as well as in our school.

My English class students are fabulously wonderful individuals with many great personalities.

They love to read and love to go to the school library to check out reading books when they get the chance. Please help us keep reading and learning fun!

My student council students are working to rebuild our school's student council since it took a hit in member numbers with COVID restrictions. Students are so excited to be involved in school projects and working together again.

My Project

The items requested will allow me to give students snacks to maintain their focus throughout the school day. Students do not bring their own snacks to school because a lot of families cannot afford the extra- school lunch just has to be enough. We do offer breakfast at school, but again not all students are able to attend because of being dropped off late or having a late bus ride. Some students would rather not say their hungry as to not be in the spotlight. I have snacks available to everyone in class that needs them-no questions asked.
