My Students
My classroom is a place where children are treasured. Students foster a love of learning in an innovative, cooperative climate which empowers all students to be competent, productive, caring and responsible citizens. Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds, but that's not what makes us stand out, or unique.
My students are dreamers, innovators, and investigators.
They are inspirations to themselves and others around them, even if they don't know it yet. They are budding ambassadors, world travelers, scientists, entrepreneurs, teachers, and doctors.
They are our future, and I want to give them a great start to their long, successful career.
My Project
Many of my students come to school without eating breakfast and no snack to eat at snack time. It is really hard for them to focus, and work hard when their tummies are growling, and all they can do is think about how long it is until lunch time. My students need snacks to eat through out the day and to take home at night to help them stay focused. A snack would help the students to stay motivated during the day. A snack to take home would help them sleep better at night. My students also need water bottles that they can reuse throughout the year, and a water filter, so the water they drink is pure! These are essentials that many of my students go without. We would be very thankful for the opportunity to provide them a snack when they are hungry. A little bit of food to fill their belly could go a long way in helping them be successful.
