Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students often come hungry and do not have any food to eat at home before their state tests. We want the opportunity to feed them so they do better on their test. Students do better on their test when they are well fed, so that they can focus better. Our students work so hard throughout the year, and we want to ensure that their basic needs are met. A hungry student deserves a meal whenever possible, and we all know that we focus more when we have eaten. Our students are such hard workers, and we are so excited to see them thrive.
