This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The goal of this project is to feed my hungry middle school athletes after hard Track and Field workouts.
My students workout until 4:30pm and when they are done, they seemed to be always hungry.
In the past, I provided snacks once in a while, but as the team grows, I just can’t afford to buy snacks every week! Besides providing a nutritious snack for students, and helping with their hunger, these snacks also provide a positive reinforcement for the hard work they accomplished that day. And, it makes the students feel good while walking home after practice.
