This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are third-fifth graders who are full of energy. The students have adapted to the challenges thrown at them and are not only surviving but thriving in this very different environment. My students come from very diverse backgrounds. They love reading diverse books, participating in Makerspace activities and are very curious. I mainly work with English Language Learners and Multilingual learners. They are eager to learn and enjoy every minute of it. They are all amazing kids!

Having snacks and staying fueled is so important in the learning process!

Sweet treats, fruit snacks, mints, potato chips are crowd favorites and are sure to put a smile on their faces! In addition, we are requesting fortune cookies so that they can get a taste of the traditional cookie. We will be incorporating lessons about Chinese New Year through scholastic news articles and books that we already have available to us. We are excited!
