This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a high school English teacher, I’ve seen how small incentives can make a big impact. I’m requesting candy, chips, cookies, gift bags, Goldfish crackers, and gum to help encourage, reward, and celebrate students across my English 9, English 12, homeroom, and yearbook classes. These treats will be used as rewards for academic growth, participation in review games, and positive behavior. I also use goodie bags to recognize student birthdays and celebrate classroom milestones like publishing a yearbook or finishing a writing unit.

High schoolers are often overlooked when it comes to classroom rewards, but they still light up when they feel seen and appreciated.

These small, meaningful gestures help build relationships, boost motivation, and create a classroom culture that celebrates effort and community. With your support, I can continue to turn everyday moments into opportunities for joy and encouragement.
