Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Majority of my students make considerable efforts to stay focused and on task during their math class. However a number of them may come into the class hungry because they come from low-income families and the school meal may be their only meal for the day.
Having healthy snacks to eat anytime during the school day will help quench the hunger and remove the distraction that hunger may cause for them so they can focus on math which is already challenging for many of them.
These snacks will be used to increase their focus by eliminating hunger and it will be also used as an incentive for hard work and engagement during classwork.
