This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are multicultural and multiracial. They come to my classroom bringing with them the wealth of knowledge and experience they have growing up in their home countries. They are inquisitive, energetic, and at times assertive but all in a good way. Even if many of them are not fluent in the English language, they still try their best by coming to class every day and immersing themselves among native speakers. I see them practice speaking in English little by little and I can see the change that they have gained from the start of the school year when they knew very little of the language to the way they are able to speak now. I am impressed with their resilience and strength.
