My Students

My students live in the housing authority projects in Cleveland, Ohio. The come to school to eat breakfast and lunch. They are great kids who often have to move so school provides stability for them. I also have several homeless students in my room. They love to learn but bring their supplies back and forth to school every day because they never know if it will be their last day. My students are full of energy and life and could one day change the world but for now, they just need their basic needs met.

My Project

My students need basic supplies like pencils to be successful in the classroom. I purchased all their school supplies at the start of the school year when they were on sale, but they are already gone. I do send notes home asking for school supplies, but my families live below the poverty level and buying pencils isn't a high priority.

My kids are super sweet but they are also very active!!

They are working on building stamina. In the meantime, the fidget toys will really help.

Most importantly, my students often come to school hungry. The snacks will meet their basic need of hunger so that learning can occur. Thank you for considering funding my project. Any gift is greatly appreciated.
