Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For whatever reason, so many of my students would rather go hungry than eat the school breakfast and lunch. I know it seems weird to be like this, but it is not a mindset that I am ever going to be able to change, so I have to adapt.
If there is one thing that I have learned as a teacher, it is that students cannot learn when they are hungry.
The water and snacks such as the trail mix and almonds will hopefully keep my students energized so that they can stay focused on their assignments. I tried to keep the snack selection as healthy as I can when choosing packaged food. We were given these same snacks in a different project and students really enjoyed them. We do a lot of group work so the mints will ensure that the students have fresh breath.
