My Students
I have 32 AP Italian students and on May 19 they will be taking the test that will grant them university credit, if they pass it. Our success rate has always been extremely high and my students' scores are amazing! Part of this success is due to the love they receive throughout their high school Italian experience.
Before the AP Italian exam, I want to send my students snacks, to make sure they have the energy to focus on the test and to make them feel that I am still thinking of them.
With the Keep Kids Learning fund I have been able to do grocery shopping for seven families, but I know that was just a drop compared to what families need now.
My Project
My 32 seniors have had to overcome several struggles this year, from gun violence striking my campus, to a pandemic. I am sure they had different plans for this special year in their lives.
These kids won't have a prom or graduation ceremony any time soon, but they have been working hard and deserve to feel special on the last month of their high school.
Help me give them a snack to eat the day before taking the AP Italian exam, so they can feel that the distance during their "emergency learning" only means to be far from their desks, but they still matter to their teacher, who trusts their skills and want them to succeed and take university credit home!
