Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students will be attending some Saturday tutoring sessions as we approach our state testing time. Students will be voluntarily offering to spend their Saturday mornings with their teachers, in order to prepare for their state tests in May.

Many of our students come to school hungry and cannot always have snacks to keep their stomachs full and their brains focused on learning.

We are a title 1 school and these students are giving up their own Saturday morning to help improve their success on their state tests. As our students will be spending a few hours with us on Saturday mornings, snacks to keep them focused and full would be greatly appreciated.

Our middle school students are working towards proficiency on their multiple state tests and these snacks will help them stave off hunger and be able to better focus and concentrate during these tutoring sessions, that they are volunteering for.
