Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I cannot tell you how many times a day a kid asks me if I have snacks in my room. Our kids are active and energetic, and usually have pretty voracious appetites. Many of the teachers have snacks available to our students, and they usually don't last long.
Because I teach in a Title district, many of our students' families struggle to provide for themselves.
The snacks will act as a positive incentive and motivator, and will also serve to aid students who may not be getting enough to eat at home.
