My Students
My students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with over 50% of our students receiving free lunch. Our school is also one of the most ethnically diverse schools in Queens. Students speak a multitude of languages including English, Spanish, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Arabic.
My Project
Over 50% of our school receives free lunch. Nothing is harder than learning while you are hungry. When it is snack time, some students are not able to bring in a snack.
These snacks will help students stay focused on learning instead of being distracted from a growling stomach. Students will be able to chose a snack from my snack bin. These snacks will allow my students have a quick snack and continue with their task at hand. All of these snacks are individually wrapped, which is important during our COVID epidemic.
