This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students in middle school generally arrive after breakfast, no fault of their own. Transportation crisis is a real problem in the inner city. My students struggle with staying on task and keeping focused because they are hungry.
Having snacks readily available to get them through the day, helps me create an environment that supports the whole child learning process.
My students develop a higher level of self-esteem and energy in class with the offering of a snack. I find it a daily issue that requires my immediate attention to the problem.
