This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
It is that part of the year again, the snack closet is started to become non-existent. It is extremely important for my special education students to feel their best so they can focus on their classwork. My students consistently complain about being hungry and drained as the day goes on. Because of this, we started the snack closet. A place where my students can go if they want a snack to perk them up. The snacks in my classroom are a huge hit! My students love that they have a variety of snacks that they like. My students are always excited when they can choose from the snack cabinet. These snacks have helped my students stay on task. They no longer ask for food or are distracted by being hungry. They know they can just take snacks if they need them and continue to do work. This has increased my engagement with my students. My students are actively participating in the lesson and focused on the tasks. Unfortunately, our snacks are starting to become non-existent.
There are only a few snacks left so I need your help!
Please help me replenish our snacks so that my students can focus on their school work instead of focusing on their next meal.
