We seriously have some of the best students in our small-town elementary school.
My students are always ready to try something new and because of that, I want to be a better teacher every day.
I want to grow with them!
Our school includes over sixty percent free or reduced-price lunch recipients. Together our community, parents, and staff work to get us everything we need. I am so grateful to have wonderful people like you also partnering with us to help get our students everything they so deserve.
Although this year may look a little different whether in person, online, or a mix of both, I know we'll build our classroom community and become the family we always are.
I am teaching four sections of STEM classes at four different grade levels in our middle school. My classes are STEM, Robotics, Digital Applications, and Pre-engineering design. I am loving all the unique learning that is happening.
My Project
In past years, donors came together to fund projects just like this one. My students have loved these snacks. They eagerly grab a snack each afternoon and even take snacks home at the end of the day. It has been such a blessing to be able to provide this for them.
Having a full tummy will in fact allow my students to work to their full potentials!
Snacks can be expensive and on the list of demands, they end up on the bottom of the list for families and our classroom.
I know that when I have had enough to eat, I work my best. I don't like the fact that some of my students can bring snacks every day and some can't. I also want to give my students the opportunity to take a snack home to have after school too, so this project would do that too!
We are facing a time when a lot is up in the air. I hope this little boost will give them a little bit of our classroom while we can't be together.
I will be sharing these snacks with all classrooms in our middle school to ensure all students have the same opportunity to learn at their best potential.
