Help me give my students snacks and drinks. By ensuring that students have consistent access to healthy snacks, we can help create a more supportive and equitable learning environment.

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Food insecurity can have a significant impact on students, especially when it comes to snacks. Snacks play a surprisingly important role in the well-being and performance of elementary school students.
Eating in the morning prevents kids from feeling overly hungry throughout the day, which can sometimes lead to choosing unhealthy options during mealtimes.
The Cereal Bar Variety Pack will keep hunger at bay and help regulate appetite throughout the school day.
Elementary-aged children have high energy needs. The School House Snack Assortment Box provides a quick source of fuel between meals, helping maintain energy levels throughout the day. When students are well-fed, they’re more likely to stay focused and engaged in class activities.
Foods that are rich in nutrients—such as whole grains, fruits, and protein—help improve concentration, memory, and problem-solving abilities. Healthy snacks that are gluten-free such as Pirate's Booty and peanut-free and tree nut-free can enhance brain function for students with food allergies. This is especially important during periods of learning and testing.
Snack time can also be a social occasion. When students take breaks together to eat and drink Welch's juice drinks, it allows them to interact and bond with peers. This can be a valuable time for developing social skills and friendships.
Snacks for elementary school students aren't just about keeping them satisfied—they can help support their academic performance, health, and social development!
