Snack Time For Tutoring

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you know what it is like to not have a classroom library? I am determined to build a class library for my students with comfortable seating so they have access to literature that helps them connect to the world around them.

We are a Title I school surrounded by a warm and caring community.

My students love to be challenged and love learning new things. They are proud to be students of our school and even more proud of their community. During holidays, many of my students spend time doing charitable volunteer work like collecting and donating food for families in need. I have an amazing group of thoughtful, caring, and giving students that deserve to have a chance to be the best they can be. In order to accomplish this, we need a classroom that helps foster and encourage growth, learning and exploration.

My Project

I am requesting healthy snacks. I would like to use these snacks when students come to school hungry. I also tutor my students after school and many of them do not have a snack.

My students are all on free food and receive three free meals per day from school.

It is a challenge for many of my parents to provide a snack or a healthy snack for them.

I am requesting healthy snacks like turkey jerky, mixed nuts, nabisco cookie packs, and crackers. I would like to use them to provide a snack when needed during tutoring or for breakfast as some students come to school very hungry.
