Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are eager to make a difference beyond the classroom by launching a “Snack Packs of Kindness” initiative to support members of our community experiencing food insecurity. Through this project, they will assemble and distribute snack packs filled with nutritious, ready-to-eat items to local shelters, first responders, and families in need within our school’s neighborhood.

Students will take the lead in planning, organizing, and creating these snack packs as part of a broader campaign to spread kindness and promote wellness.

This hands-on service project will empower students to see the impact of their efforts, develop empathy, and inspire others in the community to take action.

The requested materials—including a variety of snack packs and reusable storage bags—will allow students to assemble portable, balanced snack kits with ease and ensure food stays fresh and accessible. Each snack pack will carry a note of encouragement written by students to brighten someone’s day.

By providing these resources, our students will be able to directly serve the community and learn valuable lessons about civic responsibility, teamwork, and compassion.
