My Project
Everybody loves a good snack as a pick-me-up during the day or even to help tide them over until they go somewhere they can eat. In our class, we like to have a full snack box for the kiddos to request and take if they need it. When you have an open policy, it allows everyone the opportunity to be the same, whether they can afford the snacks or not. The snacks will also help the kiddos know they can have a snack when they need it and teach them to respond to their emotional needs instead of suppressing them. It also allows them to request and use it as a social tool. They can ask their friends if they want, share their bags, or take them home if need be.
