Snack Closet

Help me give my students an opportunity to not go hungry. I teach where my students can't afford to get something from the vending machines. Having snacks available has cut down on classroom management issues.

My Project

I have a snack closet in my room where students can come to get something during the school day. It allows students who can't afford the vending machines to get something to keep them from being hungry. For some of my students it may be the only thing besides school breakfast and lunch they get to eat. It has allowed me to form relationships with students and improve classroom discipline. I love when a student comes in and talks to me about their day. I feel great when they leave with a snack and a smile.
