This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What I love most about my students is how hard they work, how much joy they bring into the classroom, and the pride they feel when they accomplish something new. Each of them has their own strengths and personalities, and projects like this snack cart give them a chance to shine in ways that truly matter. The snack cart is not just about selling snacks. It is about building independence and confidence.

With the right resources, our students will practice essential skills such as greeting customers, counting money, creating shopping lists, and working together as a team.

A rolling cart and supplies will give them the chance to stay organized and run their own business.

Students will be using class cash to purchase items from the snack cart.

Snacks and drinks will allow them to interact with customers and practice inventory skills.

A cash box will help them learn how to handle real transactions and make change.

Every resource directly helps our students practice life skills they will carry with them long after they leave our classroom. Most importantly, it gives them a way to feel proud of their abilities while contributing to our school community.
