This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I plan on using the materials to provide a snack break after our morning phonics lesson. My students work so hard in their phonics lesson that they need a snack to refuel! There's still three more hours of curriculum after phonics that a break is necessary for them to re-focus.

I want to be able to meet my students' basic needs and provide a snack break so they can focus on learning.

This not only gives students a time to look forward to, but they can have a moment to re-energize. For my students with food insecurities, they will always be able to rely on a snack break. I want all my students to be successful and to enjoy learning.
