My Project
Welch’s Fruit Snacks and Goldfish may seem like small items, but they make a big difference. Our students receive free breakfast and lunch at school, but sometimes that is not enough for the older students. They can still feel hungry during the day, and it can make it difficult for them to focus, stay engaged, or retain information. As multilingual learners, they work incredibly hard every day to build their language skills while also mastering academic content. Providing these snacks ensures that they can concentrate on learning instead of worrying about their empty stomachs.
Having nutritious snacks on hand supports their well-being, keeps their energy levels up, and helps create a positive, nurturing learning environment.
These small boosts during the day help students stay motivated and ready to participate, especially when they're tackling the added challenge of learning in a new language. Providing more favorable snacks can also serve as an incentive to motivate students to complete their work. Please consider donating to such a crucial aspect of my students' lives.
