Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students use food in a variety of ways in my classroom. Some will request food because they are hungry: granola bars to the rescue! Others are motivated to work when they are offered their favorite snack. Because of this my self contained class goes through a lot of food and snacks.
This project will help fund the snack and food items my students use daily.
Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs tells us that students must have their basic physiological needs met before they can be expected to work on cognitive activities. This project will help those needs be met.
