Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am seeking support to provide snacks for my students to help them stay focused and energized throughout the school day. Many of my students come to school hungry or struggle to stay attentive during long lessons, particularly in the afternoon. Nutritious snacks will not only satisfy their hunger but also improve their concentration, academic performance, and overall well-being.
My students come from diverse backgrounds, with many facing economic hardships.
Some don't have access to nutritious food at home, and often come to school without eating breakfast. By offering snacks like fruit, granola bars, and whole grain crackers, I can ensure they have the fuel they need to succeed in the classroom.
A well-nourished student is a more engaged and motivated learner. With your support, I will be able to provide healthy snacks to keep my students focused, reduce behavioral disruptions caused by hunger, and create a more equitable learning environment.
I'd like to create baskets for those who are in need of them to make them feel at home since they are new to our school.
