This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are in 2nd and 3rd grade and are the best kids I've ever met. This project focuses on hunger. Most of my students don't get snacks between lunch and dinner and at this age, they need snacks between meals. Also, when they're hungry, they have a lot of difficulty focusing on their class work.
A snack in the middle of the afternoon will sustain them.
It will give them a short break to socialize and give them a boost to get through the rest of the school day allowing them to focus on their work instead of their rumbling tummies.
