My Project
Students cannot learn if they are hungry. We have so many enriching, hands-on lessons to engage students in math, reading, writing, science, and social studies, but in order for students to fully engage in these lessons, their basic needs must be met first.
I plan to use these snacks to serve those who are hungry when they arrive to school.
I also plan to use these snacks during snack time for those who are unable to bring one from home. Students thrive when they know all their needs will be cared for! We have such a large class this year that our snacks go fast! I also want to make these snacks available to anyone is our 5th grade hallway.
