This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many times, my students have come into class hungry and tired. As a teacher, it can feel so hard to see your students having a hard time and limited resources to help. Often times, students may have come in late and missed breakfast, or had a hard morning and missed the opportunity to eat at home.
With your support, we can help our students get the nourishment they need to feel better and get back on track with their academic success.
Every year, I make sure I always have food available for my students, including those with nut allergies. Many of these snack options are nut-free or gluten free to help my 6th graders eat safely. With healthy snacks like light popcorn or apple sauce packets, they can better focus on their learning rather than their hunger. Any donation is appreciated and goes a long way to help a student in need.
