This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are bright, curious, and full of energy. For many of my students, school is more than just a place to learn—it's a safe and stable environment where their basic needs are met. However, some of them come to school hungry or without snacks, which can make it difficult to concentrate and fully engage.

A classroom snack pantry would provide consistent access to healthy, brain-boosting snacks during our “Snack and Learn” time, helping all students stay focused and ready to participate.

This pantry would also be a discreet and supportive way to address food insecurity. For students who may not have enough to eat at home, knowing they can count on a snack at school gives them one less thing to worry about. Every child deserves the chance to learn without hunger standing in their way.
