Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have twenty-five amazing 3rd grade students that show up to class eager to learn, despite the challenges they are faced with both in and out of the classroom. Our school is a low income Title 1 that offers free breakfast and lunch to all children. My students have a wide variety of learning styles and levels, all of which deserve the best education possible. Every student in my classroom is unique and everyone in the room respects each other. I care about my students and they know it!

My goal as a bilingual teacher is to encourage my students to love learning and to develop lifelong independent learners.

I especially love that my students try their best on everything that comes their way. They love to read and enjoy hands-on activities. They are great helpers and I know I can count on them. Every day​, I make sure to instill good qualities that will make them amazing citizens. I want my students to remember me when they grow up, so I make them feel welcome, safe, and important on a daily basis!

My Project

Our 3rd grade classroom needs basic supplies in order to run smoothly. My students are in need of crayons, colored pencils and highlighters for their group caddies. These items are used daily as they show their creative sides and learn in class. They are also in need of dividers because our district has adopted a new math curriculum which requires a binder with different sections. The dividers will make it easier for my students to find the section they need.

A smooth running classroom is essential in order to maximize learning!

The headphones are for my students that are learning to speak English. This year they are using Flip Grid to record themselves and these noise cancelling headphones will work better than just speaking in to the mic of the computer. We also need some lysol spray to keep the germs away. My students learn the best when they are healthy and in good spirits. I am also requesting printer ink which is a must to keep our classroom a print rich environment. My students love our colorful room and they especially enjoy when their study guides are made in color. The colored and white card stock paper will be used to make their study guides much more sturdier than regular copy paper. My 3rd graders would love your support with these classroom basics!
