Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All of my students come from homes where English is a second language. Despite the challenges of coming from immigrant homes, my students put forth maximum effort and embrace challenges to become super-star students. Our school is a Title I school with 90% of our student population on a free/reduced-priced lunch.

Every child deserves to feel extra special on his or her birthday and I’d like to make this happen by giving each student a birthday gift bag with wholesome treats.

Students love getting birthday treats! At our school, parents are encouraged to send in goodie bags or cupcakes for their child’s birthday, but not all parents can afford to do so. In the past, I gave my students a small treat bag, but this year, I’d like to step it up and give them more.

The items that I am kindly requesting such as pencils, gel pens, cupcake erasers, mini notebooks, emoji pencil sharpeners, and cube puzzles will nurture their academic skills, as well as their emotional well-being. The hand sanitizing wipes and Kleenex tissues will help nurture their physical well-being.

I thank you in advance for your generous donation that will give bring many smiles to my super star second grade students.
