Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In my kindergarten classroom, we work hard every day to build strong habits like kindness, responsibility, and self-control. To encourage these positive behaviors, I use a daily reward system where students can earn small prizes when they make good choices—like helping a friend, following directions, or showing effort in their work. I am asking for your help in collecting toys, trinkets, and goodies to keep this reward system exciting and meaningful for my students.
These prizes may seem small, but they have a big impact.
They give students a tangible goal to work toward, and they help reinforce important social-emotional skills like patience, respect, and teamwork. The reward system also helps create a positive classroom environment where good behavior is recognized and celebrated. With a variety of fun and engaging prizes, students stay motivated and take pride in their actions and achievements.
What makes my students special is their joyful spirits and determination to grow. Many are learning English as a second language and navigating a new school environment, yet they show up each day ready to try their best. They thrive when their efforts are seen and appreciated. Your support helps me give them daily moments of success that boost their confidence and help shape a positive attitude toward school and learning.
