Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are almost always ready to start their day and I have to be ready to capture those moments that students are exploring and developing their skills. Which is why an I Pad in our classroom is so important as it will be easier to transfer all the images to the online curriculum.
My class will be very diverse in culture and I am so excited that all of my students will be able to experience that diversity at such an early point in their educational career.
My students will have great opportunities at our school because our principal,is passionate about all her students and advocates for their needs as well. Our school believes in the arts and music is one of the many successful and enjoyed class from our students. Many of our students are from low income families were many of the programs are difficult for their families to provide outside of our school. Having programs such as dance, yoga, and reading programs keeps our students interested in school and keeps them out of trouble. Our student attendance and our overall school attendance has increased as the word has spread at the many wonderful and exciting programs has to offer.
My Project
Along with the ease that having a laptop will have to our individual classroom, it will also help our students increase their technology skills. As a teacher, I will be able to bring the iPad into their area of play and explore topics they may be discussing. While technology is very important in our society in today's times. It will allow my class to increase their vocabulary and socialize which is so important for our preschoolers in addition to their academic skills with the many programs that are available for them.
Having an IPad in our classroom will increase our technology experience.
It will also allow the teacher to create parent friendly reports that easily uploaded right from the IPad instead of transferring and uploading from other technology. It is essential for our everyday viewing of videos and activities that are related to the many themes that we will be learning about as a group and within small groups.
