My Students

My school is a Title I school and nearly all of our students receive free breakfast and lunch meals. Regardless of any situation, I always encourage my students to keep trying because everything takes time to learn and do. The rewards will be worth it in the long run. My two groups of wonderful learners are in a Mandarin dual-language program. Every day they spend half the day in an English-speaking classroom with me, and the other half-day with their Mandarin teacher.

My first-grade students work very hard every day to learn all subjects in both English and Mandarin in order to be proficient in both languages.

My Project

One of our health units focuses on dental hygiene. This is so important for our personal and overall good health, but unfortunately, resources are lacking for our students. I would like to not only teach them about of proper dental care, but to also provide my students with the supplies to use at home. Consider and gift each of my students the following resources: new Colgate toothbrush, Colgate toothpaste, dental floss, dental bags, and 2 min-sand timer and other health products. These resources will greatly enhance our health unit.

Students will gain an amazing experience of learning the importance of dental hygiene and body health at this early age.
