This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our High School serves close to four hundred students with 95 percent Latinos and over 90 percent eligible for free or reduced-price lunch.

Great vision without great resource is irrelevant.

All sports build character, along with discipline, which are the things that will help our students get into college and be successful.

Even without any sports facilities on campus, the school tries their best to give our students memorable experiences and develop qualities that lead them to be self-sufficient.

My Project

These will be used every day in practice and during games. In a school with no sports facilities available, we appreciate anything that makes Basketball more efficient and safe. With your donation, we not only can prepare our kids to be great ball players, but also start the dialogue for basketball in our inner-city.

We intend to spark an interest and allure the community to Basketball.

In any inner-city school, sports are at the bottom of the totem pole as far as priorities go. My goal as the coach is to provide an experiential opportunity for the kids to build long-lasting traits such as social interaction, teamwork, physical fitness, and a sense of accomplishment. This grant can help me achieve my goal!
