Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students at my school come from high-poverty areas where even leaving the building is dangerous, no matter what time of day. The school is not too far away, but it is at least a train ride away and provides some distance from their home lives.

These students risk their own safety and come to school instead of staying home, locked behind their doors, because they want better lives.

It is my mission to arm them with the skills they need to attain and lead those better lives.

My Project

Hygiene products can be overlooked by anyone, and when you are a teenager it can really make things awkward. Let's remedy that by providing our teenagers with face wash, body wash, and deodorant. We would like everyone to be able to have confidence not only in their schoolwork, but also in who they are.

A good amount of that confidence comes from feeling our best, and items like these really play a huge role in helping us get there.

As a result, we will be better able to interact with each other, and learn from each other as well.
