We have students who come to school from families with very limited resources. We make every attempt to provide the basic needs so students can focus on their academics and healthy social relationships with peers. Personal hygiene products could help students be clean, comfortable and healthy. This will provide a boost to students’ self-esteem, which can then improve their engagement in learning and making meaningful social connections while in school.
This project will provide essential hygiene products that my students will own, use at school and can take home as they master these necessary life skills.
Basic items such as soap, toothpaste, and toothbrushes. deodorant, lotion, and sanitary products can be taken for granted by many. Unfortunately, many of our students do not have these items at their disposal. Therefore, we want to provide them if needed. The option to store the personal hygiene kits in their lockers for use in the locker room or to be taken home will be offered to all students. When students feel better they perform better and we want the best for our students.
