My Project

I am excited to introduce a project that will transform how we connect and collaborate: a Smartboard Mini designed to make meetings and learning truly accessible for all.

Every child deserves to be seen, heard, and supported—especially students with disabilities who benefit most from personalized learning and strong partnerships between teachers, families, and specialists.

As a dedicated educator, school psychologist for over 20 years, I hold regular Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to tailor education plans to each student’s unique needs. These meetings are vital opportunities to come together with students, parents, and support staff to ensure every learner has the tools and support to thrive. However, without the right technology, it can be challenging to fully engage everyone and make these conversations as clear and collaborative as they need to be.

That’s where the Smartboard Mini comes in. This compact, interactive display will allow us to:

Visually share important information during IEP meetings in a way that’s easy for everyone to understand

-Use interactive tools to engage students and parents in their own learning journey

-Make meetings accessible for families with different needs, including visual or hearing impairments

-Provide a flexible, technology-rich environment that supports all learners and their families

This smartboard will be a bridge—bringing together students with disabilities, their families, and educators to create an inclusive, welcoming space for communication and growth.
