Want to see a studentâs eyes twinkle with excitement? Provide them with games and activities for the smartboard and you will see!
I teach a class of 5th graders in a Florida Public School.
We are a title 1 school and the students come from families in need. They have multiple disabilities which make learning difficult for them. They are often frustrated and unmotivated. When I found them a game/activity for the smartboard, the transformation was amazing. They were truly motivated and engaged in the activities. They wanted to learn and it was the smartboard activities that sparked this new interest in the learning process!
My Project
With your help the eyes of these students will light up! These smartboard games and activities will make great whole class activities as well as task time center activities. It is my hope that all of my students will be engaged in the learning process. These materials will stimulate my students and provide hands on, engaging, and high interest activities for them to practice the necessary reading and math skills that are required of them. The skills that can be accessed with these materials include, reading comprehension skills using high interest passages, test-taking strategies, vocabulary development, grammar, understanding fiction and nonfiction text, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, reading and understanding graphs demonstrating geometric knowledge, and adding, subtracting and comparing fractions. My students need smartboard activities for whole group and task center activities to help them become smart kids!
So, if you want to see a studentâs eyes twinkle with excitement, provide them with games and activities for the smartboard.
My students have multiple disabilities which make learning difficult and these materials provide the motivation they need! If you donate to this project I can assure you that you will be helping my students practice and perfect the skills they need. We will be grateful to anyone who can help us make the learning process more fun!
