My Students
As a teacher in a Title I school (low-income/high poverty), my students are faced with many challenges both inside and outside of the classroom that sometimes makes it difficult to learn. Many have struggles focusing on the classroom and desperately need special accommodations so that they are able to better focus and learn more effectively. Oftentimes their living situations are difficult too and sometimes they don't have a warm and inviting place to relax or study.
My Project
These stools will make a difference in my student learning because they will be able to move around as needed to provide the maximum ability for them to focus and achieve academically while writing, reading, and doing mathematics.
Also, the lighted doorbell provides visual/auditory cues for students to listen, stop, and be ready for transitions or to receive important information or direction.
This will help students who may have visual/auditory learning difficulties.
The board game will offer them practice with reasoning, mental stimulation, and engagement during raining days and free time.
