My Project

My students come from a high-poverty school district where 100% receive free breakfast and lunch. Despite the challenges they face, they bring incredible enthusiasm and creativity to music class. Whether exploring new rhythms, composing original pieces, or performing for their peers, they demonstrate a genuine love for music and a remarkable willingness to learn and grow.

I am fortunate to teach some of the most creative and wonderful students a music teacher could ask for.

Their curiosity, passion, and resilience inspire me daily. I currently teach K-5 music, but next year my school will transition to a 3-5 building. I see all of my classes on a 4-day rotation for 40 minutes, with class sizes ranging from 12 to 26 students.

Music education plays a vital role in fostering creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration skills. Orff instruments are essential in my classroom for hands-on, exploratory learning, but traditional Orff instruments are bulky and difficult to store.

The Sonor Smart Series offers a solution with its stackable frames, saving valuable storage space without sacrificing sound quality. With these instruments, my students will gain access to high-quality tools that enhance their musical skills and make our classroom more functional and organized.

My goals for this project are to:

Enhance musical learning by providing students with regular access to professional-grade instruments.

Encourage creativity and collaboration through group performances, improvisation, and composition.

Maximize storage efficiency with stackable models, making it easier to organize and access instruments.

Create a flexible, clutter-free classroom for smoother transitions and more effective instruction.
