My Project

I absolutely love how curious, eager, and creative my students are. They bring such energy and enthusiasm to the classroom, and they each have their own unique strengths that make our learning environment vibrant and dynamic. Watching them grow and develop both academically and socially is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.

The resources for this project, specifically the DIY coin slot saving boxes, will make a huge difference by providing a hands-on, interactive way for my students to learn key life skills such as financial literacy, responsibility, and goal-setting.

These boxes will serve as a tangible way for students to track their progress and take ownership of their actions, whether they’re earning money for completing assignments, demonstrating good behavior, or helping their peers. By allowing students to “spend” their earnings on rewards such as extra free time or small treats, they will have the opportunity to make real-world decisions, understand the value of work and reward, and develop a sense of accomplishment.

My goals for this project are twofold: first, to encourage positive behaviors and academic engagement, and second, to foster a sense of independence and personal responsibility in my students. By giving them the tools to track and manage their own learning and behavior, I hope to build their confidence and intrinsic motivation.

What makes my students special is their unique blend of creativity, kindness, and resilience. They are always willing to help one another and approach every challenge with determination. They inspire me to be a better teacher every day, and I know this project will help them see the tangible rewards of their hard work while making learning even more enjoyable.
