My Project
I am so fortunate to work with a group of bright, resilient students in East New York, Brooklyn, many of whom come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Our classroom is constantly evolving to meet their unique needs, and this portable smart TV will provide the flexibility to adapt to new learning environments, whether we're rearranging the classroom or moving to different spaces. The mobility of this TV will allow us to bring engaging, interactive lessons anywhere, which is especially important as our space changes frequently.
The 4K webcam and 1080p display will help us connect virtually, offering visual resources that make learning more dynamic and inclusive.
The built-in battery and swivel rotation ensure we can move the TV around the classroom, allowing every student to interact with lessons in the most effective way for them.
In my speech sessions, students often treasure the opportunity to explore what they’re truly interested in, as it may be their only chance to do so. All of my students have IEPs and either have autism or a learning disability, which is why they come to speech. This project would directly impact my students by providing them with the technology they need to engage with lessons in meaningful ways.
By incorporating this technology, I hope to amplify our learning experience, ensuring that my students have access to multimedia resources that will help them thrive. This resource will support various learning styles and abilities, making learning more accessible and enjoyable for each student. It would be an invaluable tool to help them grow academically and personally, enabling them to explore their potential and expand their horizons in a way they truly deserve.
