My students need 10 Chromebooks for our classroom as we are going paperless in our school as much as possible. Students are completing assignments through Google classroom and each student has gmail accounts.
Our school serves students in grades K-12 and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers and a safe learning environment. We are a rural school in a small district. Our community is a very close environment with lots of encouragement for our school and our students. The students in my classroom have a variety of challenges to include learning disabilities, behavior disabilities and language barriers, where their home language is something rather than English. We have a great staff that work one on one with our students when necessary completing daily documentation to record student progress.
My Project
The chrome books needed already have a use in my classroom. Our students utilize many aspects of learning through technology and the use of the Google Suite. Students and teachers in a Google Classroom have access to a paperless workflow process. A paperless workflow can improve classroom efficiency and reduce costs associated with printing. We are finding that students are becoming more organized, connected, and engaged in paperless classrooms.
Google Classrooms are used to provide an environment built on free, easy, and familiar tools.
The same toolset that is already used in informal and home environments is now extended to a structured classroom environment. Students save their work on their google drive and are learning to use google docs, google sheets, and using google calendar to keep track of their daily assignments and due dates.
Your contribution will help the students in my classroom who have specific learning disabilities and need one on one reteaching skills for many things but seem to make great progress with the use of technology.
