I teach Art and Drama in a very low-income district. Resources are extremely limited, and most of my students have not been exposed to much technology.
I think it would be hard to overestimate the impact that an interactive whiteboard would have on an Art class. The uses would be virtually limitless, and it would be the final piece in building a technology-friendly Art room.
I need an interactive whiteboard for use with my Art and Drama classes. Again, the applications for this technology in my Art class alone are virtually limitless - we would probably use it every single day in one way or another. I envision students using the whiteboard for so many projects: creating slideshows of their work to share with the class, enjoying interactive drawing and painting lessons, even doing their own demonstrations for the class. As a teaching tool, the whiteboard will bring my lessons to life and keep the students engaged. My students need to be exposed to and interact with as much technology as possible to prepare them for college and the workforce.
