it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I'm a speech therapist who has worked in school districts with children for 18 years. I am at the end of the 1st year of developing a new speech communication program for preschoolers where we have been working on a variety of severe articulation errors paired with receptive/expressive language skills. Students learn best in a natural environment where they are excited to learn! Most of my students aren't able to provide their own meals or supplies, so I'm looking to raise some money for some items that will help continue their growth! We have been developing a new curriculum that pairs with the TEKS using a variety of activities, games, and books including manipulatives, art supplies, and center materials such as early literacy manipulatives to help prevent any odds for potential dyslexia. These tools help teach concepts, reduce phonological processes, and increase initiation using a variety of communication modes and various language goals. This past year, we have seen an incredible impact the program has made and are looking to restock some essential items to help make learning and speech fun. Thank you so much for your consideration!
